RMS smile Aesthetics is a family run business in Crosby. Richard and carla work at RMS Smile Aesthetics and decided to open a business in the area as its the area they live in.
RMS Smile Aesthetics is an upcoming business that has a lot of benefits to the residents and families of Crosby and other areas in Liverpool. It is a friendly environment not like anywhere else it has a calming atmosphere which helps when clients have a fear or phobia of dental/ clinic settings.
We have a variety of dental services available including new dentures, denture repairs, cosmetic veneers, custom made gum shields, bleaching splints, our dental services work on prescription of a dentist. we offer denture repairs to the public they can be done without a prescription and can be repaired within the hour or same day repair so you don't have to wait to see your dentist to have it repaired you can just give us a call. we can even offer out of hours emergency denture repairs if you lose a tooth from your existing denture that can also be fixed .

Richard Sunter (RDT) / Aesthetics Practitioner/ Director
Richard is a GDC registered dental technician who has over 15 years experience. He started off working as an apprentice in a dental laboratory, then once qualified worked in numerous dental practises alongside dentists and dental surgeons. Richard would work closely with the dentists making dentures for patients. Richard has gained a lot of knowledge and experience in orthodontics working with orthodontists making fixed and removable appliances in a surgery setting, direct with clinicians and various dental technicians.
Richard has passed his 1st year at Uclan university to further his qualification to become a clinical dental technician . This will allow him to further his scope of practice. It will also allow him to offer more services to clients.
Richard is looking forward to offering a wide range of services to clients within his scope of practice and looking forward to making people smile again.
We are also working closely with a referring dentist who can see patients within our dental laboratory and then will refer to his own practice for any dental problems patients may have and any check ups that are required as RMS Smile Aesthetics do not undertake any invasive procedures.
In Richards spare time he likes walks along the beach, cycling . Richard likes all things DIY too, He likes to keep himself busy whether it be in the house or at RMS Smile. Richard is a family man and likes spending time with Carla and their children. Richard likes jogging and is keen to get Carla to enjoy it too.

Carla O'Neill Aesthetics Practitioner/ Manager
Carla works with Richard at RMS Smile Aesthetics alongside her other job working as a Theatre Assistant at The Walton Centre which she has worked for 14 years. Carla has undertaken a lot of training courses whilst in the hospital such as mandatory training, Patient confidentiality, CPR, catheterisation and many more. Carla also has an NVQ level 3 and access to health professions diploma. Carla is wanting to go on and further her career at The Walton Centre in the near future to become and operating department practitioner (ODP). Carla has now enrolled on a dental nurse course and is thoroughly enjoying the course. Carla is looking forward to becoming a fully qualified dental nurse.

In Carla's spare time she likes to go for walks along the beach and sometimes cycle when the weather is good. I also like yoga and Spending family time with Richard and our children.

Richard and Carla are qualified Aesthetic Practitioners and offer a Variety of Aesthetic procedures. They studied at Empire Academy for aesthetics and had a very intense In-depth course to complete to allow them to be fully qualified Practitioners. There course involved anatomy and physiology level 4, anaphylaxis, first aid, CPR, micro needling, dermaplaning, Vitamin B12 Injection, Anti-wrinkle injections, lip fillers, chemical peels and Hyaluronidase.
They now offer the following treatments;

OUR SERVICES
All our dental medical devices require a check up appointment and a prescription from our referring dentist . If you are already registered with a dentist you can download our referral/ prescription form and your dentist can check whether you are suitable for the appliance you require. If suitable your dentist will send the prescription back to our laboratory and your appliance will be made by Richard Our Registered Dental Technician(RDT) then the appliance will be sent back to your dentist for him to fit.
Cosmetic Veneers.

A gum shield is a custom made flexible rubber like appliance. which covers and fits over your teeth and gums and protecting them from any impact or damage during various sporting activities.
Our gum shields are custom made by Richard our dental technician. We would show you a brochure with different colours and designs for you to choose from.
Getting a custom made gum shield professionally made is a small price to pay for protecting your teeth with piece of mind of not having to pay expensive dental fees when you get damage to your teeth by not wearing a properly custom made fitted gum shield.
Custom Made Night Guards
Our custom made night guards are for upper and lower teeth. They are made to help to stop the grinding and clenching during the night whilst sleeping.
They are made to fit your teeth exactly to your own dental profile. Persistent clenching and grinding of teeth through the night can cause a number of problems from headaches, severe damage to teeth to jaw lock. Wearing a night guard you will reduce or eliminate a morning headache.
Tooth Coloured Clasps
If you have ill fitted dentures or do they move when eating this may be the product for you.
We can apply a variety of clasps from stainless steel to tooth colour to your denture.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Anti-Wrinkle injections are injections using botulinum toxin to even out fine lines and wrinkles that may be more prominent in some people this may be on your forehead, crow's feet and your frown lines. The procedure involves us carefully mapping out your face in the specific areas that you would like to be dealt with and calculating the units of botulinum toxin before injecting precise amounts in specific areas mapped out, there are a couple of looks to choose from you could have the frozen look which is certain areas of the face injected to not react when frowning or smiling. then there is the natural look when the same areas are injected but with less anti-wrinkle solution which means your facial expressions will still be present, but your lines will be much smoother for a younger look.
Micro needling
Micro Needling or collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure in which thousands of tiny little needles are inserted into the surface of the skin Via a roller or a stamping device.
Derma rolling works by creating microscopic wounds which induce collagen and elastin production.
Collagen is the most abundant protein found in the human body, and is responsible for holding together connective tissue like skin, muscles, tendons, cartilage, and bones.

A ‘complete’ or ‘full’ denture is one which replaces all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.

A ‘partial’ denture fills in the spaces left by lost or missing teeth. It may be fastened to your natural teeth with metal clasps or ‘precision attachments’.
Your denture will be designed just for you. Your dentist will take an impression of the area with dental putty before the denture is made to make sure it fits well. The impression and precise measurements of your mouth will be given to our registered dental technician, who will build your dentures to the correct size and shape to make them feel and look as natural as possible.

Denture Repairs
If your dentures are snapped, cracked, missing or chipped teeth our denture repair service is the excellent route back to having the healthy looking smile. We also offer an option of having your denture strengthened. Our repairs are completed at our own dental laboratory on site in as little as 1 hour whilst you wait in our comfortable reception area. If you would rather leave your denture and come back to us there are cafes by the premises or Crosby village is a short walk or a 2 minute drive from us also.

Denture Cleaning
One of the most important factors in oral health is hygiene. you should try to keep your mouth free from bacteria but this is not always possible to prevent. Having stained teeth or a build up of plaque and tartar maybe embarrassing but that is something Richard our very experienced dental technician can help with as this requires special attention. Ignoring the build up of bacteria can become very harmful it can also stain your denture and teeth but could also cause irritation of the gums and teeth and could also cause bad breath, this could possibly lead to fungal infections of the mouth. We advise dentures should be cleaned professionally at the most 4 times per year.
Lip Fillers / Naso labial folds
Lip Fillers is a popular procedure to enhance your lips using a hyaluronic acid-based filler. The filler comes in a prefilled syringe at RMS Smile Aesthetics only the best products are used. There are certain technics that are used to get the perfect look you are wanting. there are certain reasons why some may want the lip filler to enhance what is already there and to get that perfect pout and there are others who want it to make their lips more symmetrical or to define their cupids bow. numbing cream can be applied if you are worried about feeling any discomfort or pain throughout the procedure our aesthetics practitioners take their time to make sure you are happy with the lips your about to leave with and will not want anyone leaving unhappy.

Naso-labial folds are the lines that run either side of your nose these lines can be more prominent on some customers than others these can easily be filled with a prefilled syringe of our chosen brand of filler, and it is inserted using a cannula and is a small but effective procedure. see pictures below to get the overall results of both procedures.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a method of physical exfoliation using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the epidermis layer of the skin to eliminate the vellus hair which is known as peach fuzz.
This procedure leaves the skin feeling even more silky smooth than other exfoliation techniques due to the hair removal process. Dermaplaning helps the skin absorb products more deeply due to the skin being more smooth and hydrated after the treatment. The skin will be left smooth, clear and naturally radiant.
Vitamin B12 Injection
Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is a water- soluble vitamin that is involved in the metabolism of every cell of the human body: it is a confactor in DNA synthesis, and in fatty acid amd amino acid metabolism. Itis particularly important in the normal functioning of the nervous system via its role in the synthesis of myelin and in the maturation of developing red blood cells in the bone marrow. Vitamin b is one of eight vitamins; it is the largest and most structurally complicated vitamin. It consists of a class of chemically related compounds (vitamers), all of which show physiological activity. it contains the biochemically rare element cobalt.
A person who suffers with a blood disorder called pernicious anaemia will have low levels of B12 as there body fails to absorb it naturally from foods.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can potentially cause severe irreversible damage, especially to the brain and nervous system. At levels only slightly lower than normal symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, difficulty walking (staggering, balance problems), depression, memory loss, breathlessness, headaches and pale skin among others may be experienced , especially in elderly (over age 60) who produce less stomach acid as they age, thereby increasing their probability of B12 deficiency.
To administer the vitamin B12 an intramuscular injection will be performed into the muscle, this will enable the vitamin to give you the best benefits of recieving the vitamin this way.
